Since the World War, 1914-1918, Australia has been an im- portant factor in Canada's external trade and since 1935, has been the third largest purchaser of Canadian export products. and Great Britain. The surpassed only by the United States Commonwealth's imports from Canada were valued at $33.254,400 and 532,422,400 in in the fiscal year ended March 31, 1939, 1937-38, substantial increase over the 1936-37 total of $26.- 954,800 being shown in both the last two years.
