The market was steady throughout the day.
COTTON: The lack of aggressive demand to absorb light hedg- ing was responsible for the easiness. Offerings of actual Cotton in the South were light The' textile industry rules quiet. Uncertainly with regard to Washington and European developments are keeping many traders on the side lines.
RUBBER: The market was quiet, but steady, Commission Houses bought, while dealers sold. Sentiment was mixed. Some factory buying was noted. Strong rumor prevails that the international Rubber Regulation Committee will hold a meeting shortly and a fur- ther release in the quota is considered probable.
Overtures.
. WHEAT: The market reacted on persistent peace Growing conditions in Argentine and Australia and, Washington's ac- tion to improve prices of farth products are more closely watched at present Large supplies and poor experts, however, suggest the ad- visability to confine purchases to periods of easiness.
HIDES: There was no change in the favourable statistical posi- tion of Hides, but supplies are due for a seasonal rise and this may check the advance in prices temporarily.
