The market continues to be dominated by unsettled "conditions abroad. While the undertone has
been quite steady there has been Bttle. movement imprice levels. Business has been very restricted on a difficult market.
On "the announcement of the customary interim dividend of £2:10 HK Banks improved to $1360, but at the close of kruiness shares could be obtained at $1340 with sales reported at this figure. Both Lands and Trams have come in for steady enquiry, Lands being wanted at $354 with sales at $38 and Trams at $18.60. with sules reported at this price. Chine Lights, old shares were wanted at 38.20 and the new at $5.20. Elec- trics were offering at $55 with buyers at $54), HK Docks were wanted at $17.10 Providents at $4.40 and Hotels at $54.
Gold mining stocks have been dull and prices continue to drift downwards through lack of buying support. San Nauricio, United Paracale and Itogons came in for most enquiry and price' levels re- main unchanged, Coco Grove lost 5 ctvs to 22 ctvs. Benguet Con- solidated has remained steady at Ps. 10.50. Market closed quiet.
