The market opened with prices unchanged, for all deliveries as compared with Saturday's closing rates.
Quiet conditions prevailed early in the morning due to the fact that the Rubber Exchanges in London and New York were closed on. Saturday last as is customary during the summer months,

With a sharp advance in opening prices, the market continued to forge ahead and was active and strong throughout the day. Good speculative buying dominated the market. Some short-covering was also noted. "Spots", and near options again led the advance and prices were maintained at the day's high levels.
