Ten Persons Face Charge
At Central Court
How the police, by means of ropes to lower themselves down, entered a house surrounded by retaining walls, to effect a rald for alleged gambling at No. 20 Shan Kwong Road, Happy Valley, was de- talled in the Central Court resterday before Mr. Butters.
Twenty-six persons, including: three Europeans,, were amongst those arrested and charged with gambling. Of this number five es- treated their bails of $25 each at the first bearing on July 7, when the case was remanded for seven days.
Yesterday only ten appeared to answer the charge, including the alleged keeper, Lal Tung-shing, who appeared on $1,000 ball.
