Many Convictions For Larceny
In the annual report of the Superintendent of Prisons which
was tabled at the Legislative Coan- ell yesterday it is revealed the question of accommodation is stili occupying the minds of the au- thorities who cannot find a way out at present to cope with the increasing number of prisoners.
Recently 310 male prisoners were alleged to be released before the expiration of their sentences. The reason for this move was because the prisons were overcrowded and accommodation had to be made for new prisoners.
