COST OF

OF WITHDRAWAL OF VOLUNTEERS FROM SPAIN WILL TOTAL: £1,500,000

COLLECTION, MAINTENANCE WILL BE BORNE BY THE FIVE GREAT POWERS

Russia Will Not

Expenditure On Transport

London, May 31.

"The cost of withdrawal of foreign volunteers from Spain was dealt with by the Chairman's Sub- Committee of the Non-Intervention Committee at today's meeting at the Foreign Office.

The estimated cost of collection, transport and maintenance of volunteers in camps, is between €1,000,000 and £1,500,000, while the cost of sea transport of volunteers home is estimated at £750,000. It was proposed that the cost of collection and maintenance be borne equally by the five great Powers participating in the Non-Intervention scheme, while the cost of transport be borne proportion- ately by countries to which the volunteers are repatriated.

The Chairman, Lord Plymouth, said that Britain' is willing to contribute.

The German and Italian representatives undertook to refer the matter to their respective Gov- ernments, but the Soviet representative, M. Kagan, declared that the cost of transport and maintenTM ance of volunteers should be borne by countries who have volunteers in Spain.

He maintained there were no Russian volunteers. However, after restating the attitude of his Government to the withdrawal proposals, he said the Soviet Government would be pre- pared to consider contributing, in common with other Governments, to the cost of establishing and maintaining commissions which are to go to Spain to ascertain the number of foreign volunteers and to supervise their withdrawal,, but that the Soviet Government. would not contribute to that part of the cost of the scheme which included expenditure on transport of yolunteers.

The Sub-Committee will meet again on Thursday, but it is not known whether the instructions of the Governments on questions which the representatives agreed today to refer to them, will have been received by then, and it is in any case probable there will be another meeting early next week-(Reuter and British Wireless).

FOOT ITCH

Athlete's Foot

According to the Govern- ment Health Balletin No. E-28, at least 50%, of the

adult population of the United States are being attacked by the disease known as Athlete's Foot."

Usually the disease starts between the toes. Little watery blisters form, and the skin cracks and peels. After a while, the itching becomes intense, and you feel as though you would like to scratch off all the skin.

BEWARE OF IT SPREADING.

Often the disease travels all over the bottom of the feet. The soles of your feet beconia red and swollen. The skin also cracks and peels, and the itching becomes worse and worse.

Cet rid of this disease as quickly as possible, because it is very contagious and it may go to your hands or even to the under arm or cratch of the legs.

Most people who have Athlete's Foot have tried all kinds of remedies to cure it without success. Ordinary germicides, anti- septica, salve or ointments seldom do any good.

HERE'S HOW TO TREAT IT

The germ that causes the disease is known as Tines Trichophy ton. It buries itself deep in the tissues of the skin and is very hard to kill. A test made shows it takes 16 minutes of boiling to kill the germ; so you can see why ordinary remedies are unsuccessful. go. F. was developed solely for the purpose of treating Ath ete's Foot it is a liquid that penetrates and dries quickly. You just paint the affected parts. It peels off the tissue of the skin where the germ breeds.

ITCHING STOPS IMMEDIATELY

As soon as you apply H. F. you will find that the itching, is immediately relieved. You should paint the infected parta with B. F. night and morning until your feet are well Usually this takes from three to ten days, although in severe cases it may take longer or in mild cases less time.

H. F. will leave the skin soft and smooth. You will marvel at the quick way it brings you relief; especially if you are one of those who have tried for years to get rid of Athlete's Foot without

success.
