LORD MAYOR'S APPEAL
For China's War Sufferers
London, Oct. 20. The Lord Mayor in a broadcast to-night made a moving appeal to the nation for contribution to- wards the relief of the war suffer- ers in Chia.
Elaborating the appeal he made on October 1. he said that he be- Heved all sections of the com- munity should unite in relieving the distress in China and dwelt upon the immense problem of homeless hundreds of thousands

་་
An organisation has been form- ed in China to administer the funds, as previously announced. and a letter from the Lord Mayor. relterating the appeal will be published in all the papers to-
