Brown, who joined her two years ago while still building at Barrow-in-Furness. Lieutenant- Commander Conway specialized in submarines in 1924 as a sub-lleute- nant, and his previous commands have included H 30 at Portsmouth and the Regent in China. He jolned the Navy with a special entry cadetship from Wellington College in April, 1919.

CHANGE IN UNIFORM The collar of the round jacket for midshipmen, midshipmen (E); cadets and paymaster cadets states a new Fleet Order, is no longer to be fitted with a hook and eye. The amended description of the Jacket "Blue cloth, single-breasted, with seven but- tons: three notched holes of black twist on each cuff with buttons to correspond; a stand collar. with the white turnback and notched hole or the white notched hole as described in Nos. 6 and 7." These numbers refer to the regulations for the undress coat and white tunic respectively. The round jacket is worn by midshipmen and cadets on occasions for which the full dress coat, frock cat, or mess jacket is prescribed for officers.
