It is authoritatively stated that the British proposals for en- suring the safety of foreign warships on control duty round Spain have been commplicated to the Interested Powers in the shape of a questionnaire."

Perpignan. June 5. That the internal situation in Catalonia is by no means calm is Indicated by messages broadcast over various radio stations to-day. Speaking of the attempts to form a new Catalan Government, the anarchist-syndicalist station at Barcelona broadcast a statement that they will support any solu- tion of the present impasse, as long as military victory was guaranteed but that there could never be any agreement with the Government's "bourgeois" policy.
