Prospects For To-morrow's

Races

(Continued from Page 1.)

VICTORIA PARK HANDICAP All the six entrants will go to the post in this event and Able Amazon should experience no diff- the honours. culty in annexing This brown ex-champion is once her again being looked after by original Russian trainer, who shared in all her earlier successes; and has recently re-joined the "Star" outfit. The two remaining places will probably be Alled by Centre Court and Bobalak Star. The distance may be a little too lunx for Double Finesse and Derby Day, though the latter will probably | go out under a novice jockey and thus have only 130 lbs, to carry.

WEST RIVER HANDICAP I really believe that King's Bounty has this race well in hand despite allegations from many of 'the wise ones that the distance" is too long. This bay was second to Boolat Bay over one mile at the last meeting. The time returned, 2.00-3/5, was excellent and the course a trifle sticky so that the extra bl 10-morrow should not count much against this pony. Soldier of China. King's Jublice and Ythan will furnish the opposition. I have no In- formation regarding Royal Con- sort but judging on her last outing and taking into considera- tion allowances for improvement in the meantime, this chestnut ap- peals strongly as the beat outsider. If she strips for the race and looks weil in the paddock do not hesi tate in backing her each way.

WILL STRATHCARRICK MAKE

AMENDS?.

An apparent bad starter in Strathearrick and an unreliable racer in Roolfly appear to be the best on paper for the Cabramatta Handicap over 1 mile. The former has been maintaining her form, as will be seen from the training gallops, and it she gets off well at the gate will undoubtedly be hard to beat. Rooifly will have the ser vices of Mr. Proulx and may run a belter race. A Great Time must also be considered as this bay is fast Improving. A good place bet would be Twilight Star. who has has been consistently placed thereabouts in the past.

LANTAO HANDICAP "The chief Interest in this race is the special $1 sweep, for which over 55.000 tickets have been sold to date. The largest field of the day will go to the post and there should be a close fight for first place. Daylight Eve should be well to the fore and repeat last meet- ing's success. Flybynight. Zero, Laughing Girl and Gold Coin are other ponies with more than a fair Boston chance of winning. Valorous (165 Ibs. also has an outside chance but I am afraid the weight may prove too much. THE SEASON'S HONOURS

1

It was proposed by the Emer- gency Committee at the previous hearing that Tam Korg Pak should be barred for life from participat- ing in local football, but yesterday this point was reconsidered since this player had not been brought up before the Committee since 1933.

It was proposed by Mr. McKelvie and seconded by Capt. Kimm that) Tam Kong Pak should be barred from participating in local football for the whole of one season. The proposal was carried unanimously. CORINTHIANS' VISIT

A discussion look place regarding the programme for the Corinthians when they arrive in the Colony on February 3 and the matter was left in the hands of Mr. Wong. It was proposed that the South China Athletic players other than those chosen for the Interport in Shang- hal be free to participate in mat- ches against the. Corinthians.

The South China Athletic Asso- ciation also received permission to go on a tour of Java and Singapore before the time of the next Asso~ ciation meeting which will take place in June.
