GERMAN TEAM EXCELS IN ROWING

Ideal weather conditions favoured the closing cruise of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club held on Saturday afternoon when Mrs. E. Cock presented prizes wan during the season 1936-37. Excellent sport was provided Stanton, and we are grateful to during the afternoon, main i21-. them for the work they have put terest being centred in the rowing events between teams representing. Great Britain and Germany, the latter winning both the fours and the pairs.

Q. S. P... Heywood, rowing very well, won the sculling event, al- though he was given strong op- position in the final by E Genrich, who kept within striking distance throughout the race and was only beaten by two lengths over the half-mile course.
