(BY LONGSHOREMAN), During the 24 hours ended ab am. yesterday, the freight re- turns, received from the Harbour Office, showed a fairly high tan- nare movement, a large propor- tion of which being contributed by Japanese ships.

The total tonnage of general cargo carried by vessels to the Colony was 6.444 tons with British steamers carrying 2488 tons.
