Lee Wai Tong Delights The Spectators
SOUTH CHINA BEAT FUSILIERS
The keenly anticipated cash between South China "A" and the Rayal Welch Fusiliers on the one side potential champions for this season, and on the other side a leam known for its dour fighting qualities-ended in a clean victory for the Chinese lads by five goa to twb in an interesting strugzie, that was replete with thrills from start to fish.
Lee, wai Tong scored another personal triumph, for he was in a large measure instrumental in subduing and finally vanquish- ing the soldiers, his football craft being more than the latter could cope with. While demorallsing his opponents, he had the opposite. feet on his team males. and delighted the large crowd of specta- tors with his perfectly timed passes that made openings galore.
On the mainland, until five minutes from the end, the Police loaked as if they would leave the field with the two points in their pockets, but a last minute "header" by "Ginger" Higgins, drew the Lincolns level at 2-2. The Police were unlucky to draw, for they had the majority of play, but again, the usua, story must be related--- their forwards falled in front, of goal.
