In presenting the report "and Statement of accounts. It was pointed out by the President that the actual profit on the working account was 23,311.87 against. $3.583.55 of last year-a very small difference. Drastic economies had however been instituted, and an appeal was made to members to co-operate more whole-heartedly in settling their accounts prompt ly.
The President was supported in the chair by: Mr. A. K. Mackenzie (Hon. Secretary), Messrs. T. E. Pearce, A. C. I. Bowker. V R. Gordon, E. J. R. Mitchell, J. R. Colis, and L. G. Robertson,

We couldn't carry them through without this help.
There is one more matter to which I want to refer, and that is the post of Hon Scretary of this Club. Mr. Greenhill, who has gone home on retirement filled the position for 15 years and was no easy matter to find a suc cessor. We have been lucky in securing the services of Mr. Msc- kenzie who has thrown himself heart and soul into the job, to the utmost satisfaction of the Con mittee and, I am sure. to all | members. It is, as I have said before, an Honorary post and en- talls a very great deal of hard work and I would ask all members of this Club to give him their support.
I now formally propose,

The re-turfthg of our ground cost $411 mare but this was a very necessary expenditure as the centre was in very bad condition and several of the tennis courts round the ground were badly worn. Our share of roofing another squash court during the present year will come to some $500 but I am sure members will approve of this as an increasing number of players use the Courts. Turning to the Profit and Loss account you will see WC havd written off some $4,300, about $300 less than the previous year. The book value of the Atca Motor Mower has been written down to $1, at which sum the motors stand in our books. We are now nego tiating for the purchase of a new machine, a matter of prime im- portance as it impossible to keep with the ground properly cut ordinary hand machines, and the present ones are practically use- lesa.
