Marie Hospital in a critical condition; while the man who shot the couple lies dead by his own hand.
The French Police were called to the house, at 6.15 o'clock yesterday morning. They found Mr. Chang's body in bed in a room on the second floor, near his wife's uncon- scious, form. The servants report- ed that they had been wakened shortly before 6 o'clock by the firing of several shots, followed by the cries of Mme. Chang. A ser- vant who burst into the room arrived just in time to hear Mme Chang accuse Wu Yi Kao, a former servant of Mr. Chang's father, of having committed the crime. The murderer was found dying of a self-inflicted bullet wound a minute or so later. He expired while.. be- Ing conveyed to hospital in ambulance, without having regain- ed consciousness His weapon. at Mauser pistol, was recovered and handed to the police.
