In America the rate was un changed at 674 for spot.
The London/New York cross- rate was quoted at 4953 and the New York/London was also quoted at -4954.
Market Steady but dull.
Sterling Business was done during the course of the morning at 2/11 for cash. 2/1 5/16 for second half of August and 2/1 for second half of September." The market, closed at 1 pm. with sellers at 2/1 for August, 2/1 5/16 for second half of August/September and 2/11 for second half of September, buyers at 1/16 higher respectively.
