RECORD
A large crowd of bowls enthusiasts gathered at Club de Recreio on Saturday to watch the first division game between the home team and Craigengower "A" (the holders) and if they went there in the hope of seeing some fine bowls, they were not disappointed for not only was play of an exceptionally high standard, but the game was also so closely contested that the spectators were given thrill after thrill.
Craigengower were up on two rinks but C. G. Silva upset all their calcula. tions when he beat Bradbury's four by the comfortable margin of 14 shots, this being more than enough to make up for the deficit suffered by the other two rinks.
The Indian Recreation Club, playing at home, heat K.C.C. by 9 shuts while Kowloon Docks and Kowloon Bowling Green also won their matches against Civil Ser vice and Police respectively.
In the Junior Division Yacht Club scored their first points of the season when they beat the Football Club in a close game while Civil Service Juniors got the better of Taikoo by the narrow margin of three shots. A feature of this game was the fine huwling by Westlake's rink who scored the only "seven of the day though
were obtained by Muskett (H.E.C.) and Chalmers (Taikoo). "sixes
