Nanking, April 28.
A total of over 50 members was the second annual present at meeting of the Sino-Pollah Cul- tural Association which was held. bere yesterday at the auditorium of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Tsai Yuan-Pel, Honorary Chair- dan, presided over the meeting.
In his opening address, Dr. Tsai Yuan-Pei said that though the Association has been organized för only two years, much has been at- tempted for the promotion of cul- tural relations between China and Poland...
Referring to the lecture deliver- ed recently by Madame Weyden- thai on the historical status-of Polish women, the visit of the Polisk training ship to Shanghai, and the exhibition of Polish pro- ducts. Dr. Tsal said that China on her part, is also showing keen appreciation of Polish literature, art and music. He expressed the hope that even closer cultural re- lations between the two countries will be achieved in the future.

speech, pointed out the signi- ficance of the Association's alim To promote political or commercial co-operation between two coun- tries may not require much time, he said, but to bring about cul- tural relations between them is not so simple.. Before there can
be real co-operation between two peoples, there must be mutual re- spect between them. The, promo- tion of Biao-Polish relations should therefore be made the life- long task of each member of the Sino-Polish Cultural Association.
before adjournment, the meeting decided to entrust the Construc- tion Committes with the 'task of devising detailed measures for the purchase of land for the contruc- tion of the headquarters of the" Association.
Due to pressure of time, only the main points or eight theses submitted by members were read at the meeting
