Yushan, KL. April 18. The Yushan-Nanchang section of the Cheklang-Klangst Radway is getting on apace writes a cor- respondent. I is said that the officials are still aiming having it ready for opening on October 10. but I feel doubtful about that. Anybow the bridges are going up, and they look fine. This is a bigger line than the Cheklang section, and one of the engineers told us when few years, Tsien-tang River bridge is built, the Cheklang railway will also be widened, and the present trains used for other inland parts.
For the present Yushan is to be the junction between the two pro- vinces, and we feel ourselves very important. A great many more lires are being prepared around the stations and even a hill is to be levelled down, as the foundry is to be built shere. But all these important industries bring lots of trouble to a large number of farm, 'ers, who are losing their elda, without getting any remuneration to speak of.
