With Carole Lombard, and May Robson in the leading roles "Lady' by Cholce which opened at the Queen Theatre yesterday is a pic ture well worth seeing.

The picture is based on a some- what similar theme as that ex-; cellent film Lady for a Day," and tells the story of two women, Alabam, a publicity-seeking fan. dancer, and Patsy Patterson, a broken down old lady who is ad- dicted to gin. ?

As a publicity stunt, Alabam's press agent has her arrested for doing the, dance. The result is that she gets reams of front page, pub- Heity, but at the same time draws, a warning from the police court Judge that any further perform- ance of the same dance will get her a sentence,

As another publicity stunt, Alabani adopts a "mother" from an old ladies home. The mother is Patsy Patterson, the derelict who has been sent there by a kindly judge to keep her off the streets.

Once adopted, Patsy refuses to | leave and begins to interfere in Alabam's business and love affairs. She attempts to make the young girl a stage star but when she falls, Alabam declares she will try her own way. She seeks out a rich young man, who happens to be the son of Patsy's former lover and intends to marry him for his money.
