London, Aug. 5. In the course of a review of Britain's industrial position, in the House of Commons, Mr. Walter Runelman, President of the Board of Trade, emphasised the import ance of world trade upon the home market.

In the first six months of this year our exports totalled £190,- 000,000—an increase of £15,000,- 000 compared with the first six moriths of last year.
