Rome, August 12.

The idea of "Archduke Otto von Hapsburg becoming king of Austria is mooted carefully here. Prince Starnemberg," head of the Heimwehr, had a prolonged discussion with 11 Duce and „ although no statement was issued, indications are that it is pro- bable that the Italian Legation in Austria and the Austrian Legation in Italy will be raised to the standard of Embassies.

From an official source. It is learned that a national mogu- ment will be erected to the memory of the late Austrían Chan- cellor, Dr. Dollfuss, in the capital. The expenses, it is learned, will be met by a public subscription, Transocean Kuo Min.

Rome, Aug. 12. The question of Austria's inde pendence is still widely discussed, both in political and

domestic quarters and the latest informa- tion gleaned from the "official discussions" is to the effect that both Italy and Austria are deter- mined in maintaining that inde- pendence,

It is understood that 50,000 troops are concentrated near the frontier waiting for the arrival of von Papen in Vienna before taking any action in conjunction with Prince von Starhemberg.-- 1: Transocean Kuo Min. ⠀
