DECISION OF FLEMISH

N

DEPUTIES

Not To Attend Friday's Ceremony

WHEN NEW BELGIAN KING

TAKES OATH

Brussels, Feb. 21.

A jarring note on the eve of 'King Albert's funeral was struck by the decision of the Nationalist Flemish deputies of the Belgian Chamber not, to attend the cere- mony on Friday at which the new King will take his constitutional oath.

They have already demonstrated their extremist views by withdraw. ing from the Chamber during the official eulogy on the late King.

Explaining their decision, one of the Memlah, Deputies said, Arst of all, we have nothing to do with this purely Belgian ceremony, and we "protest against the Premier making the eulogy in French instead of Flemish. It is suggested that the Flemish ex- tremists may demonstrate during the oath ceremony, but if they do. they will be expelled-Reuter,
