DURING THE RACES.

HE public are hereby notified

THE

that on the days fixed for the Annual Race Meeting at Wong Nei Chong (February, 24th, 26th, 27th, 28th and March, 3rd), the following: Regulations, under Ordinance No. 2

of 1869, will be in force :--

I-All vehicles going to the Races at Wong Nei Chong will proceed via Arsenal Street, Haucesy Road, Percival

Street, Laighton Hill Rond and round the Happy Valley via Wong Nei Chong Road to the entrance gates.

Vehicles will return to town ria Morrison Gap Road and Queen's Road East. These arrangements will be in force between 11 am, and 7.p., II-Passengers will alight from

In the annals of British industry the year 1933 will assuredly be

remembered as the

year which

Last year the average of money rates was appreciably less than in 1932. Bank rate (the Bank of England's rate for re-discounting bills which Axes all the other money rates) averaged 2 per cent. as against over 3 per cent...in 1932, The rate for Treasury Bills was phenomenally low, the average discount rate for the weekly tender for bills being a little over 11/8d. per cent, a big drop from the 1932 average of 33/2d.
