The Macao team created a good impression in the opening minutes of the game wher they managed to confine the game in the Hongkong area but Rodger, the local back. made several good clearances. Al- bert Rodrigues at right back was also responsible for some fine work and they managed, between them. to frustrate the Macao' attack. ...At the other end, Hongkong missed an early opportunity to score when Kalwant Singh missed a pass. from Donald. The latter, immediately afterwards, struck the side of the net with a very fast shot that had the backs and goal- keeper beaten. The Macao attack, however, was resumed and Holling- sworth was kept busy for a time, bringing off some remarkably od saves. Macao kept pressing and Ramalho nearly scored from a melee.
A Change
After the interval. Hongkong played much better together and short passes resulted in their be- ing more frequently the attackers instead of defenders. The Macau citadel was bombarded with shots
