HOCKEY Champions Held To A Draw

CAER CLARK CUP

In the Caer Clark Cup hockey masch on Saturday, the champions and league leaders. The Hongkong Ladies were Murprised by the "Y" ladies, who "man- aged to hold them to a draw.

The run of the play was all in favour of the champions, who, through Misa E. Bonnar, led by a single goal at the interval.

Miss J. Weller at goal with Miss E, Thomson at the half back line, played superbly while Mrs. Portalliou and Miss Fowler responsible for breaking ap many of the champions' charges.

Some Fast Times on Grass Track: Able Amazon Prominent

The training gallops on Saturday were productive of some fast times, and for the first time, the grass track was open.

Soldier of China was against prominent, doing a mile and a half in 3.23.2, last quarter 31 Prima Donna covered a mile in 2.11.2 (last quarter 32.2) and these re- present about the beat gallops in the griffins class.

Soldier of Britain went over a mile and a half in 3.39.3, taking 1:45 for the last six furlongs, which is very good.
