"

Wheat: Market dull on lack of trade. There are some indications of now in the South-West.

Cotton: The market opened strong on continued buying by spinners and new speculative purchases. Prices later met with profit-taking. In- terest now centres on crop-control measures. Business in cotton-goods contintes satisfactory.

Silver: The market is quieter awaiting further monetary develop menta. Interest was shown relative to Senator Wheeler's amendment to purchase one billion ounces out of the Stabilisation Fund."

The Pennsylvania Railroad has declared a dividend of Sfty-cents, Messrs. Ligget & Myers have declared a regular dividend and $1-extra. Business Done: 3,380,000 shares.
