BATTLING HORSE FOR CHAMPIONS
To-morrow's Racing: Big Field For Ladies Race
CAN KING'S PARADE WIN
(By "Morning Dew")
AGAIN?
With the majority of our jockeys making the trip to Maçao, there should be some excellent sports at the Areia Preta race course to-morrow when the Macan Jockey Club will he holding their Autuan Rate Meeting.
A study of the programine will reveal how interest- ing the sport promises to be. The Macao Champions for subscription griffins of the Macao Jockey Club is the big race of the day.
There is a ladies race at the conclusion of the pro granine and since most of que lady jockeys are going across, this should be quite interesting. There will be un event also for ponies of the Canton Riding Academy. and this should provide a big dividend as the candidates will probably be unknown to most of the punters.

BLUE PLANE FOR OPENING RACE
Mr. L. G. Frost and Mr. N. Deltz, are both starting in the opening race. Frost will take out Blue Plane at the same weight as when he won a little over a month ago at Macao. There is no reason why he should not win again. Deltz's mount will be Pure Music and although this pony has a big con cession in weights, there is not much likelihood of his beating a fair start Given Blue Plane. however. Drian may upset calcu- lations as he is a game little. cus- tomer and will be.running at only 140 pounds. So On is not a bad pony for this race and I have seen Dashaway run well in a short race.
King's Parade."
The second race is for ponies classified as D Class by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and is Punters at Happy over a mile. Valley last week will remember King's Parade's Ane win over Adam and Powertul King. The shorter distance to-day is all in King's Parade's favour and he

against Battling Horse, the more so since Frost will be riding him. Both ponies are looking fit and well and in view of the fact that Battling
Horse has never been beaten at Macao, I nominate him to win.
There should be a good race for third place, and Drian, Pure Music. So On, Blue Plane" Venturous are all like to make a bid for It. Blue Plane looks the best.
M.G.T. Race. -- The sixth race is a five furlong event for ponies of the Machine Gun Troop and there are nine entries. For five furlongs, Mr. Robertson's King's Counsel at 160 pounds stand a good chance.

Australians"
I am told on good authority that some of the ponies entered by the Canton Riding Academy's members are Australian ponies which have been purchased, from Hong Kong The names have been changed but even the most mediocre Australian should be able to hold his own against China ponies. Tango Abrek and Lezgin have been named to me as good.ones and I
pass on the information for what
it is worth. When we see them in the paddock, we will probably re- cognise some of our old friends of the past. Chengte (the crack Australian pony which won the Australian Maiden Stakes in 1932) I understand is among the pantes entered, and if this is the case. It would be interesting to see how he is shaping nowadays
Novices Event.
Novices should proved a good race in the event for "E" Class ponies over a mile. W. H. Choy is riding Esk and in my opinion he Shoupid win as the opposition is not very strong. The handicapper has given him top weight with The Loafer. The latter won the three- furlong sprint at Happy Valley. but that is quite a different race to the once round at Macao which is almost a mile. Poy will handle The Loafer. City of Shanghai is also starting here under, G. P. Ferguson, and Bold, General will probably go to the post with P. P. Botelho up. The list named is a Rood outsider. Grand Slam and Ta Peartle are also starting and Whoopee will, I hear, renew 'At- quaintance with rategbers to-mor- TOW.

must seek an outsider can do worse than put a ticket on Country Club.
The Ladies' Event.
There are twelve entries for the ladies' race and there will be at least six or seven starters-prob- ably more. Miss Lois Fearon is riding. Widnes in this race over the mile and although she is a fine rider, Widnes does not appeal. Mrs. Majorle Frost will ride Wembly Stag and starting at 145 pounds, I' should imagine she will just about Win. Strong opposition will come from Miss Pamela Scott Harston who will be riding Gold Ring. The pony is quick at the getaway and if she can establish a long enough. lead, there is no catching Gold Ring.
Mlas Beryl Fair will ride Paul Jones. Not a bad thing at lando to ride, in which case she all. Mis Betty Fair may get Or-

This is the best race of the day and although on poper Wembley Stag and Widnes looks the best, it would not be surprising to see them both beaten.
