This week we are giving detailed reports of the open- ing matches of the Home Football season which have just conte to hand by Air-Mail: A good idea of the form shown by the teams engaged on that day may be gleamed from the reports, and together with a short review of the form shown subsequently by the different teams, I feel that readers will be able to make their selections for this week.

'The league tables, brought up-to-date, together with a probable list of winners for this Saturday's matches will be found below.
