Azia Landa, Limited, has received the following report trans their New, York correspondents, E. A. Pierce & Co. The improvement in the wheat, "cotton and grain markets was responsible for the up-turn. According to the information of floor observers, there was little or no evidence of large blocks being offered around the present prices." The ease at which active issues advanced was a feature and apparently a demon- stration that no large scale liquidation is anticipated at the moment. The unwillingness of big holders to dispose of equities indicates that the market situation should remain fundamentally sound. Wheat: Confidence is evidently restored. Talk of large scale buying brought anpport from Winnipeg. Cotton: Values reflected the improved grain sentiment, continuing yesterday's advancing trend. The Trade. Europe and shorts bought early, Later buying was mostly speculative on investment account, perhaps induced by the renewal of inflationary talk. Hedge selling appeared at the close. Silver: There was good Trade and Bank buying early in the day.
