The Colonial Treasurer's report on the Assessment for the year 1933-1934 states that by Order of His Excellency the Gov ernor-in-Council & new valuation of the whole Colony has been made and the Bateable Value has thereby been increased from $37,457,726 to $38,941,273 an addition of $1,483,548 or 8.96 per cent.
