The Secretary for Chinese affairs in his report for 1932 gives a comprehensive and interesting review of official and semi-official work among the Chinese Com. munity: Activities with regard to mui tsai, emigration, and the manifold activities of the Tang Wah Hospital are fully dealt with.

Important sections are devoted both to labour conditions and the factories in the Colony, and there is also a de- tailed account of the activities of the Po Leung Kuk.

We give a few extracts from the report, but the whole document, with its many illuminating tables and statisties merits study by all sections of the community.
