A MAELSTROM OF. ADVENTURE

Thrills below the surface, on the sea and in the air combine to create a sensational background for stirring romance in Hell. Below," Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's amazing draman of Uticle Sam's submarines, showing from Thursday at the Queen's with Robert Montgomery, Waiter Huston. Madge Evans, Jimmy Durante, Eugene Pallette and Hubert Young as the princi pals in a maelstrom of adventure and excitement.
The picture, Gilmed with the co-operation of the United States Navy, depicts the most remarkable underwater shots of submarines
in action yet seen on the screen. Against this authentic background is played the romanes of Mont- gomery, as the young lieutenant in love with Madge Evans, the daugh ter of his commander,
Vivid Heart Interest. Their attempt to defy conven tions, and traditions only to find in the end that there is only one satisfactory solution to a conflict between love and duty provides the main thread of the narrative. The girl's loyalty to a husband crippled in an airplane fall, and Montgomery's final heroic gesture to redeem his self-respect are the human incidents woven into J vivid heart-interest story.
D
A spectacular air raid over Italian town, hair-daising encoun ters between submarines and bat tleships, the sensational rescue of submersible doomed at the floor
of the ocean, and the bottling up of a harbour full of enemy ships are among the other thrilling in cidents in the filmization of Com- urandar Edward Ellsberg's novel. "Pighnats."

ÚFA MUSICAL FILM AT
CENTRAL
"Congress Dances" the Ufa sical comedy opened yesterday at the Central Theatre.
It can be stated without fear of any charge of exaggeration that the film is truly outanuding, not only an regards the high technique of the production and its direction but also as regards the histrionics dis played by the leading characters.
It tells, briefly of the big Europ. ean Congress that has held in Vien- na on the eve of Napolean's escape. from Elba and his landing in France.

Will Rogers in Too
Busy to Work
HUMOUR AND PATHOS
Will Rogers can be seen at his best in his latest picture "Too Busy to Work" which is the tea- ture attraction at the King's Thea- tre to-day. In the role of a tramp, who is searching for his wife and daughter and the man who stole them from him, Rogers has a WOR derful opportunity of display his natural wit and the role of tramp seems to suit him exceptionally well."
Those who have seen Rogers be- fore should not fail to see this pic- ture which, to the writer's mind, is one of the best pictures · yot made of this popular actor. His lazy and languid droll will make you laugh as much as his witti- cism. One scene in particular will make you roar with laughter and that is when Rogers tries to milk a cow!
The story is an unusual one and the ending quite Unexpected. Marion Nixon as the happy step- daughter of an American judge takes the leading feminine role and she and Rogers figure in some very touching scenes, which is one of the features of "Too Busy to Work."
The Theatro is again offering, double attraction and those who have not yet seen that very versa- tile Chinese company of scrobats, the Chin Loo Company, should make it a point to do so, Those who have seen them will find that they are presenting a complete change of programme,
