The Academy, founded in 1990, has now on its roll no less than 216 students of different nationalities, including beside Chinese, a fair number of English, French, Rus sians, Portuguese and Indians.
Of the 3 candidates who took their examination this term, 60 suc cessfully passed the test, in the Junior and 3 in the Senior. The first of the Senior division recorded. a speed of 6 words a minute on ray machine after four months' training.
