The action of the film Express" which will shortly shown at the King's Theatre, takes, place almnat entirely on a train bound for Rome from France. The picture is produced on the lines of "Grand Hotel" and at first the plot seems rather thin, but as the show goes on it get quite clear, concentrating on the adventures of a "couple of crooks in pursuit of a confederate who has "double crossed" them, a runaway couple; | a film star taking a holiday and a well known millionaire.'

Despite the confined location the action never flags once the train has started, and the interest kept up to the end. The story bo- gins wih the departure of the Rome' Express. On board is a crook | escaping with a stolen, Van Dykel masterpiece. He has double-cross- ed his confederates over the theft and thinks he has left them be- hind, not knowing they just caught the train at the last moment. The best part of the story is perhaps when he innocently comes face to face with his enemies in a game of cards. Those who took part in this scene acted superbly. The crook is murdered by his former confederates, but after committing
