For the first time in history, a Motion picture has been made of the great Baddah, the Diabutan of Todaiji of Nurn, Japan.
The film is une of the many unusual scenes made in Japan by Edward Venturini, ace Hollywood cameraman. during six weeks he spent in the land of the Rising Sun, Securing atmospherio shots for use in the modernized screen version of "Madaine Butterfly." The picture comes to the Queen's Theatre on Thursday with Sylvia Sidney, Cary Grant, Charlio Rag gles, Irving Pichel and Relen Jerome Eddy in the leading roles.
Venturini exposed more than 10,000 feet of film during his six weeks in Japan. He secured shote of temples, public buildings, gar- dens and private homes. Many of his shots were used intact in Madame Butterfly others, double-exposed, with studio shots. became backgrounds for the netion. of the picture, still others were used for models for the construc- tion of setting and the designing of costumes.
