LONDON, April 11.

A case concerning securities, in- cluding English Victory Bonds, of which King Alfonso claims delivery. came before the Court of Appeal. It appeared in the fist as Be Bour. bon. Westminster Bank (Banco de Vizonya elaimants).

Mr. Malcolm Hilbery, KC., for King Alfonso, said the Banco de Vizcaya had been ordered to be the "plaintiff, on no issu as between the bank and King Alfonso in an action brought by him against the Westminster Bank.

The matter now, before the court related to the form of issued to be tried. The Banco de Vizcaya bad been brought in by the Westminster Bank, and had said that they claim- ed in the right of the present Gor. ernment of Spain, that the Govern ment were entitled to the bords and securities concerned in the action.

These were deposited, a long time ugo, by King Alfonso, at the head office of the Westminster Bank, for account of their Madrid branch.

On October 1, 1920, the business of the Madrid branch of the West mister Bank was transferred to the Westminster Foreign Bank, and in August, 1923, the Madrid branch ceased hotive operations.
