Injuries Described.
The first witness to be called was Dr. J. E. Markio, who testified to having examined the body of Ng Koo at the Kowloon mortuary on April 1, where it was identified by the father am the Police. It was also going through Lyeemun Pass, and was bearing down on them. At the time he was steering in a northerly direction and veered lightly off his course. to avoid the land. The steamer overtook him and a man on the bridge waved to him with his hand, motioning him to alter his course. The man also shouted something, but, owing to the high wind he could not hear what he said. Witness then altered his direction back to a northerly course and steered for Chung Kwan- O Bay. He did not recognise the steamer nor did he notice whether Lance-Sergeant May, the next the man who signalled to him was a Chinese or a European..
