In the year 1918 only 366 cars were transported across the har bour. In 1924, 4085 cars were no transported and the figures for 1925, 1928 and last year were 3927, 4220 and 9170 respectively.
Our Chairman today, I notice, has expressed no thanks to thes Companies, and I can only suspect that being connected with the two.

London, March 6.The British Industries Fair, which ended last night, left exhibitors in all three sections, the heavy industries at Castle Bromwich, the lighter indus tries at Olympia, and textiles and furniture at the White City, well satisfied that a very large amount of business had been done. Fair has now become so large and contains so many exhibitors that it is difficult to form any estimate of the value of the orders received, but extensive inquiries in all sec tions show that most of the firme. occupying stands are agreed that it has paid them well to be among the exhibitors, and some firms have done remarkably well.
Lieutenant Colonel D. J. Colville, M.P., who as Secretary of the De partment of Overseas Trade has been in very close touch with the work which has been done, stated yesterday:-
