ST. ANDREW'S HOCKEY CLUB REDEEM THE DAY
BY DRAW WITH CHAMPIONS
JUNIOR FOOTBALL TEAMS OUT OF FORM
Kowloon sports Clubs had rather an unhappy week-end, though the Recreio cricket team had extremely bad luck in not beating the Civil Beryleo. Having scored 170, by consistent batting, they had nine opponents out for 105 when stumps were drawn,-
Kowloon 0.0. went down to the Olub on Kowloon ground, it being A. O. Beck's match all through. But for him!
At football the K.F.G. Junior Bhield team lost to the Athletic by two goals to one, and the Recreio lost to the Navy on Satur day, in the same competition by sight goals to one.
The Third Division team of the Recreio also lost to Signals yesterday by seven goals to nii.
It was left to the ladies to uphold the Peninsula and in the Caer Clark Hockey Competition St. Andrew's did very well to hold the Hong Kong Ladies Club to a draw one goat all;"
CRICKET
K.C.C. #. H.K.C.C.
At King's Park the Hong Kong Cricket Club beat the Kowloon Cricket Club by 3 wickets in w friendly match on Saturday,
Beck had a really remarkable day, After taking seven wickets for 27 runs, he proceeded hit up 63 not out, at a time when wickets were falling fast and it looked as if the Club would fall short even of Kowloon's modest score.
For the Home side, E. F. Fincher and W. C. Hung presented an utter collapse, and, when the Club wero batting Goodwin' had four wickets for 33.

RECREIO v. NAVY,
On their own ground the Club do Recroio lost on Saturday to the Navy by eight goals 'to one.
The shilors had practically the whole of the game, but they adopt- ed individualistic tactics and play was not of ni very high standard. Before the interval the Navy scored four times. Parsons and Murel be- ing responsible.
In the accond half the sailors con- tinued to attack and goals were scored by Parsons (2) and Cleary and Sayer. Santos reduced the de ficit for the Recreio.
Navy Woodman; Buchanan, Newman; Martin, Bisir, Partington; Cleary, Elgey, Murrel, Sayer and Parsons..
Recreio: Marquea; Pinto, Xavier; Laurel, McIntosh, Reme dios Campos, Figueiredo, Mon- talla, Santos and Barros,
KOWLOON ." ATHLETIC.
On the Club ground the Chinese Athletic "A" beat Kowloon by two
goals to one
Phy was of a very poor standard, and Kowloon, although mostly on the offensive, failed badly in front of goal.
After fifteen minutes, the Chinese scored, through Pang Kam Hing, with a weak shot which the goal- keeper should have saved Shortly afterwards Kowloon equalised when Benwell sent in a long shot which the goalkeeper misjudged,
After the interval, the Chinese were rather lucky to regain the lead as Willis in clearing kicked the ball against an Athletic player and it rebounded into the net. Play was pretty rough towards the end of the game.
SUNDAY'S MATCH SIGNALS BEAT RECREIO.
A one-sided Third Division match was played at Sookunpoo yesterday when the R.E. and S. best the Club de 'Recreio by seven goals to uil. The match was too one-sided to be interesting, "the soldiers having matters all their own way. The Recreio fielded only nine players and it must be said that they did well to hold the soldiers to only one goal in the fret half. In the second half, however, they fell off with the result that the soldier piled on wix goals.
