A certain American organization. Professor Ipatieff, during the Great War was the greatest Rus- sian specialist in military chemis try, and whereas formerly Russia had depended upon Germany for her supplies in this connection, tha Professor was able to supply the needs of the army through the or- ganisation which he created for that purpose. He was very well known in Germany, where he was con- sidered a danger to the future of the German chemical industry.
