There were several upsets during the day, accompanied by the usual big dividends. In the eighth race, Lucky Bird ousted two big favourites in Highjinks and Pocahontas to pay $187" for a win but a protest against the pony was entered after the race and it was disqualified for bumping and boring.
Mr. Frost had most successful day, getting five wins and two places out of nine outings. Mr. B. N. Par had a couple of wins, two second places as well as two thirds One of his win ning mounts, Lucky Bird, was subsequently disqualifed. Messrs. Corbett, Narcnha and Botelho had a win each, while Mr. Ip Kui Ying had no fewer than four seconds and a third.
