St. Stephen's Collage, Stanley, was the scene, of an interesting ceremony yesterday afternoon, when the ocasion of the annual spach day and prizegiving was made the opportunity of formal planting of trees throughout the grounds of the College. At the prize giving, His Grace tho Bishop of Victoria presided, the prizes being distributed by Dr. Yue Man Kwong, a former pupil af the college, who has been engaged in medical work in the in- terior of China." With the Bishop on the dain were Mr. W. T Southorn, the Rev. E. W. L. Martin, Warden of the College, the Hon. Dr. Two, the Hon. Mr. T. N. Chau, and members of the College staff, toguthor with other leaders of the Chinese community.
At the conclusion of the distribution of prizes. h. vote of thanks to His Grace and Mrs. Southora.was proposed by the Hon. Dr. Tho, and seconded by the Hon. Mr. T. N. Châu, who called for three cheers for the distinguished visitors. The party then pro- ceeded to the grounds of the collage, where Mrs. Southorn led the visitors in the ceremonial planting of trees, after which ten was partaken of in the Dining Hall. "
