CHARGE OF INCITING TO MUTINYA

The charge followed visit by officers of the Special Branch of Scotland Yard to the editorial of ficos and printing works of the Daily Worker

Sin. Porcival Clarke, for the Director of Public Prosecutions, said that he proposed to submit evidence on the charge already pre ferred and on two other charges. The charge already on the sheet that on: September 18 of this year bemalici ously and advisedly did en deavour to seduce persons in his Majesty's Forces by sea and land from allegiance to his Majesty, and by such incitement to stir up and cause mutiny.
The two further charges would be that Wilkinson conspired with others who were responsible for the production of a paper called the Daily Worker not only to broak Section 1 of the Incitement to Mutiny Act, 1797, but also to incite other persons to do so. The charges arise out of matters which wore printed and published in the Daily Worker, a paper which den cribes itself as the crgan of the Communist party of Great Britain," added Sir Percival,
