BOGUS STORIES AND FORGED
- LETTERS.
A young man who was alleged to Bayer havo vietinised actors and actresses for 18 months by means of forged letters and boys storica was Bon- tenced at Marylebone to three months in the second division.
He gave the name of William Henry Wehl, Great Peter-street, Westminster, and pleaded guilty to two charges. He called at the house of Miss Noomi Ludolf and handed in two letters. One rend:
Dear Miss Ludolf,-I am terribly. sorry for this, but you were 20' charming when I was a stage hand at the Savoy Theatro this year that I come to you' in any despair.
After a serious illness I have just got a good job, but I am desperata for 48, d. to get the dress clothes from pawn. It is so hard because 1 cannot get nuy more help from the charities, and I am the gole support of any invalid mother.
