The case against Wong Ng, an amah who was in the employ of Mr. Bursick of 12, Wing Lok Build ings, Kowloon, and who was sen- tenced to two months' imprisonment for alleged stealing of a per- ambulator, was re-opened by Mr. 11. R. Butters at Kowloon Magis.he tracy yesterday.
It will be recalled that after the amah was dismissed by Mr. Ber- wick, the latter discovered the loss of a 4 praan

Stabilisation appears, on the surface, the desirable course, and for that very reason the expert arguments against should made known. Er H.KO.N]..
PEACE MOVEMENT
IN KWANGSI.
OBJECT OF MISSION TO NANKING.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
CANTON, Jan. 1. Generals Wong Shiu Hung and Wi Tiug Yang, two big leaders of the Kwangsi clique, who had been in confercace with Mr. Ho Lo, of the Canton Military Readquarters, Chiang Kai Shok in Hong Kong and a representative of Marshal for some time in connection with. the peace movement in Kwenigst, are reported to have left the British Colony for Nanking last Monday by a Japanese vessel. Their assion in the North is to confer with Marshal Chiang and other members of the Central Govermanent on the problem of peace in Kwangsi.
What has been decided upon at the Hong Kong peace conference has been carefully concealed from the public. The terms agreed upon by the representatives of the op- posing forces in Kwangai will not be divulged until they have bece considered and sanctioned by Nan sing, and General Wong Shiu Hung's present trip to the capital is to set forth the case of Kwangai before the Central Government with a view to securing peace for his native province without dis- honour to his colleagues.
According to Mr. Ho Lo, who returned to Canton yesterday, the prace conference in Hong Kong was highly successful, there being prac tically nothing of importance which the delegates could not agree upon.
General Wong Shiu Hung anid that it was his heartfelt desire to sco peace and order restored in his native province, but in order that this may be brought about, some fundamentally constructive policy must be evolved and carried out. Practically everything in Kwangsi is in a terrible condition. About one-third of the province is at pre- sent in the hands of the Communists and outlaws, whose wanton ravages have been the source of untold suffering of the innocent and the law-abiding inhabitants. bad elements, the General went on, must be wiped out before true peace and prosperity can be restored.
All these
In conclusion, General Wong said that Li Tsung Jen, Pei. Chung Hai, Chang Fat Fu and others were equally desirous of peace in Kwang- si, and are now willing to take orders from Nanking.
It appears, therefore, that peace is well in sight in Kwangsi,
