But despite this blemish the film is a great pictorial record. The little human touches are well chosen and one is carried into the life of a band of very gal lant and, despite hardships, very happy gentlemen.

Curiously enough the film was severely criticised in the London papers. It is difficult to see the reason for this. There was a sug gestion that the memories of Scott, of Oates and Amundsen were slight- ed. There is not the least, ground for this.. On the contrary very gonerous tribute is paid throughout to those men who faced the same hardships without the equipment provided for this expedition. One can only say that Admiral Byrd, and his comrades, are in the truc succession of the gallant band of Polar explorers of all nations.

At first I thought I should never be well again, but when I heard that my brother was taking Phosferine I thought I would iry it, and in the first two or three days I began to feel better, and I sleep better, which is a blessing at my age, as I am 71 and people say I am a wonder for my age. I am still healthy and well. and am able to carry out my household duties, and in addition 1 haid also been suring and looking after an old genileman, besides shopping which means a mile and a half of walking daily I could not have done it without the help of. Phoferine, as the Influenza left me feeling very weak and broken in health. I find so many people, when they get on in years, think nothing will do them good, but I say to them do not think that, take Phosferine, and what it has done for me it can do for you." I advise others to take Phosferine and guard against nerve pains and Influenza, etc., and anyone who has suffered that way should take it to build themselves up again."
