ATTACKED NEAR SWATOW.
A Japanese fishing vessel was. pirated near Swatow last week, according to Chinese Press re- port.
It appears that the Japanese vessel encountered the pirates at Nam-O, some 70 it from Swator. The pirate junk contained over ten men who were all armed with re volvera. The Japanese craft was thoroughly ransacked, but fortu- on board was kid- nately, no one napped. A report has been made to the Japanese Consul at Swatow.
Pirates along the Kwangtung- Fukien coast have become very active lately, and many Chinese fishing junks have been victimized.
