When Food Makes No Appeal

A failing appetite is one of Nature's danger signals. It is a warning that all is not well with your digestion--that your system is not freeing itself punctually and thorough- ly of its daily, waste. It is this condition which Eno's "Fruit Salt "corrects..

Eno simply flushes and effectively cleanses the whole intestinal tract and so prevents the inner sluggishness which leads to poor appetite and indigestion. That is why Eno first thing every morning will stimulate your keenness for meal times and enable you to enjoy every morsel of your food.

TEMPTING DISPLAY OF CAKES.

"It is not often that, just at the tea hour ono sees a crowd of Europeans with their noses pressed to a sheet of plate glass. Yet few can pass by. Lane, Crawford's window, with its tempting array of cakes and pas- trics, without stopping for a nearer view.

There are cakes for every oc casion, and bread in all its most appetising forms. The centre picce is a hugh wedding cake which costs $500, and is a triumph of the con fectioner's art. A small, delicately iced cake surmounted by struc ture of sugar lace, was the subject. of a scrap of conversation over heard yesterday afternoon. "Rather previous that remarked a male voice. "It's a Christening cake you idiot, replied his wife in cut- ting tones.

Standing in front of the wedding cake is very appropriately, a basket of rates. At its foot a notice on which he who runs may read that these delicately formed blooms, and the basket which contains them, are made of marzipan. If he who reads is indeed a he, he will note with pleasure the further informa tion that the roses cover rich fruit cake. Roses and. 21 candles, decorate a large cake designed for ++ Rose's twenty-first birthday

Think of waking up in the night matig of meringue, which looks far and, by merely stretching out a too good to be cut. These tanks can also be carried out to the tennis court, enabling cold drinks to be had at any moment instead of having to call for the "Boy" whenever our is required. Then again they are in-

The small size is small enough to fit comfortably under one's legs, or there is an other shape which fits to the shape of the running board and can be clamped on sirely and safely and also there is a perforated fold ing tray for food which the lee cold atmosphere keeps fresh and sweet throughout, the whole day.

The prices are so graded that they are within the reach of all pockets, and the saving in ice soon pays for the outlay and then be comes a proat to the owner, besides adding very

A BOOM IN HOT WEATHER.

A MONEY-MAKING ARTICLE.

It is not na widely realized na it should be what a boon Tundice Tanks are to all those who live in hot climates. These compact tanks are made on the termos principle, and therefore all bottles put into them become and remain ice-cold for twenty-four hours with a very small expenditure for ice.

What a great improvement this is on the ordinary ico-chest, where only these bottles which are actual- ly resting on or touching, the ice become cold Most of us have ex- perienced the frantic and annoying search on a hot night for a really cold bottle, to the detriment of our tempers, and also we all knew the number of times we have had to send back a warm soda because the Boy could not be bothered to burrow down to find a cold one. When an ordinary ice-chest is filled up, the usual practice is to put in some layers of bottles and then: a large quantity of ice, some bottles around and above the jee, and then more layers of bottles above these, and the result is when a bottle is required the one nearest to hand is generally taken..

All this is eliminated by Tua- dice, for then the bottles are placed standing up and a remarkably, small quantity of ice is placed on top of the littles. This ice slowly 'melta and runs down the sides of the bottles and collects at the bot tom of the tank. This means that all the bottles are standing in Toe cold water and not only become but remain ion-cold. Also as these tanki are made on the thermos principle, the air inside becomes ice-cold, so when a fresh bottle is put in this also becomes beautifully cold in a very short time, but care must be exercised to replace the lid as soon as possible A good method to adopt is to refill after three or four bottles have been taken out. 事

They are perfectly magnificent used in conjunction with a Frigi daire or a Kelvinator.

The small-sized tank ena be car ried seily by one person, so it becomes a matter of convenience to move it from room to room; this

no more depressing days

Days when everything seems to go wrong. Life is a heavy burden Work needs so much determination. Tasks seem never ending.

The cause of it all is raw jangled nerves. If they can be restored to healthfulness all the attendant troubles vanish. And this can be done only in Nature's way, through: quiet health-restoring sleep. But it must be natural sleep-not that produced by drugs or stimulants.

Then when the nerves are refreshed and re-invigorated the spirits rise, the whole system recovers tone and all is well.

There is such an easy pleasant way of producing this natural sleep. A fragrant cup of Glax-ovo taken before retiring for the night is a splendidsleep inducer. The marvellous "Ostelin" vitamin D concentrate feeds those starved and harassed nerves, its rich milk and selected malt extract give rise to that drowsy, feeling and its delicious chocolate flavour makes it an added pleasure with which to round off the day. Try it to night!
